Meaghan lives in Brooklyn, NY and is an interdisciplinary artist, designer and mother of three. Her work traces the deep relationships between people, plants, and place. A founder of Studio Prospect, she has shaped award-winning residential, commercial, and public spaces that connect communities to the natural world.
Born in Buffalo, NY, she holds a BA in Art History from Reed College, and a Master of Architecture and Master of Landscape and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. Meaghan has taught design studios at SVA, the University of Pennsylvania, and Victoria University in New Zealand. In Brooklyn, she maintains an urban native plant garden with her children’s school, where she teaches students about the rituals of tending a shared landscape. Across these roles, she fosters conversations about ecology, design, and community participation.
Her botanical illustrations are mixed-media works that portray individual plants as emblems of their wider ecosystems. She mostly focuses on edible and native species, celebrating the beauty within our foodscapes and local ecologies.
